Early in the week I decided to do my traing run of 24 miles running up to the start of the Kelly Canyon Half and the race back down to the finish with my friends.  I had a ton of fun!!  Set out at 5am as I needed more time to get out there as there is a long 3.5 mile hill, I felt very good going out and even stronger running up the hill as I felt all the hill training and things are working very good.  Got to the start of the race and talked with Gray about how we were going to run the race and I felt even tho I just ran 13.1 I felt like I was able to race back down to the finish.  Got a little chilled waiting for the race to start but once it did get started I warmed up in a hurry.  Running the down hill was fun and fast and got to the bottom and just wanted to get into a nice and very even splits for the remainder of the race.  It went very well and I was surprised how well I felt at a faster pace as I have not been fast much due to all the trail running I have been doing.  I felt like the last 2 miles I was able to pick up the pace even more and finished strong.  1:43:01  22 OA and   1AG (50-59)
